Fodor's Expert Review Tables of Content
The well-plotted prix-fixe menu at the restaurant of the outstanding Sylvia Beach Hotel changes nightly. Chances are that the main dish will be fresh local seafood, perhaps a moist grilled salmon fillet in a Dijonnaise sauce, served with sautéed vegetables, fresh-baked breads, and rice pilaf; a decadent dessert is also included. The interior is functional and unadorned, with family-size tables, but be forewarned, dinners can be long, so young children may get restless. Dinner is at a fixed time—7 pm in summer, 6 pm most days in winter, but at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday.
