Fodor's Expert Review Redfish
Two walls of windows allow diners at the stylish Redfish in downtown Port Orford spectacular ocean vistas, but the views inside are pretty inviting, too, from the modern artwork provided by sister establishment Hawthorne Gallery to the artfully presented and globally influenced food. Start with the Manila clams in lemongrass-coconut red-curry broth or the daily ceviche, before graduating to cedar-plank chinook salmon with mushroom risotto, or organic chicken with truffle grits, garlic-tomato marmalade, and broccoli rabe. The good-size portions make it possible to enjoy a moderately priced dinner here by ordering a couple of smaller plates. Weekend brunch items include crab cakes Benedict and a lingcod sandwich with spicy-pickle-tarragon aioli.
