Fodor's Expert Review Lodge at Riverside

At this contemporary lodge at the southern end of downtown, the pool and many rooms overlook the Rogue River, and all but a few rooms, furnished with stylish country house–inspired armoires, plush beds, and oil paintings, have private balconies or patios; suites have river-rock fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. The setting is far enough from the bustle for peace and quiet, but still an easy walk to several good restaurants, and rates include a complimentary evening wine reception served in the log cabin–style lobby, beneath its soaring cathedral ceiling, and a full hot breakfast in the spacious breakfast room.
