Fodor's Review

One of the stalwarts of Distillery Row—a group of eight craft spirits producers mostly clustered together in the Central Eastside—this highly respected outfit opened in 2004, moved into a spacious 14,000-square-foot facility in fall 2014, and has earned international acclaim for its Aviation American Gin and Krogstad Festlig Aquavit. Other favorites include Westward Oregon Straight Malt Whiskey made with locally sourced barley, and—apt in java-loving Portland—coffee liqueur produced using pot-distilled rum and the city's fine Stumptown Coffee beans. In the cozy tasting room, you can also browse a fine selection of barware, books, and other booze-related gifts. Tours are offered daily at 3 pm (and additionally at 1 on Saturday). Check out the Distillery Row website (www.distilleryrowpdx.com), where you can view a map of other nearby distilleries and order a Distillery Row Passport, which costs $30 but includes a $5 gift card, complimentary tastings and tours at 11 distilleries (Clear Creek, Bull Run, and Aria in Northwest are included), and discounts at a number of restaurants, hotels, and shops around the city.
