Fodor's Expert Review Altar

A tiny but impressively stocked boutique in a charming, old, Craftsman-style house that also houses the excellent Hazel Room café, Altar is devoted to decorative items, fashion, jewelry, and crafts made by Portlanders. The selection is eclectic and fun—everything from handcrafted soaps made with local beer to geometric-shape brass necklaces. Clothing at Altar is geared mostly to women.
