Fodor's Review

Graffiti and murals decorate one concrete wall of this colorful Old Town–Chinatown eatery dedicated to Mexico City–style street food, proof that superb ethnic food still exists in the Chinatown neighborhood (even if none of it, at the moment, is Chinese). This is some of the most flavorful, authentic Mexican food in town. You pick as many items as you'd like from the list of perfectly seasoned fillings, including pork mole verde with tomatillo and green chili, smoked tongue with potatoes and cactus in salsa verde, and butternut squash cooked in a rich chocolate mole sauce. Then choose your format for eating these delicacies: a combo platter, quesadillas, burritos, tacos, and so on. There's an extensive list of fine tequilas and mezcals, plus several handcrafted margaritas. There's a smaller, original branch on Division Street in Southeast.
