As you might have guessed by the property’s name, River’s Edge is home to a 13,000 square-foot full-service spa, which makes it the largest spa in Portland. Be sure to schedule some time during your stay to get the full pampering treatment with a massage, facial, and mani/pedi.

River’s Edge Hotel & Spa has a large fitness center with all the equipment you need to get in a great workout, including cardio machines, free weights, and fitness accessories.

Follow up your workout with a trip to the fitness center’s steam room or dry sauna.


The restaurant at River’s Edge Hotel (also known as the restaurant formerly known as Aquariva) has a small menu of appetizers, salads, and entrees (including fresh Oysters on the Half Shell).


There’s no bar, but you can grab a beer, wine, or cocktail at the on-site restaurant.


Getting Around

River’s Edge Hotel & Spa is a solid 15 minutes from downtown, but there’s a light rail station within walking distance. If you do decide to bring a car, valet parking is $30 per night.


Gino’s (12-minute drive) is an excellent restaurant in the nearby Sellwood neighborhood that dishes up Italian classics in a warm, friendly atmosphere (be sure to try Grandma Jean’s Pasta, the house specialty). If you’re heading downtown, try Lúc Lác Vietnamese Kitchen (10-minute drive), a local favorite dishing up Vietnamese small plates (the spring rolls are especially delish).


Check out Sellwood Public House (13-minute drive), a classic pub with a great game room (complete with Corn Hole, Pool, Darts, and Ping-pong) with 14 rotating beers on tap. If you’re in the mood for something more upscale, hit up downtown hotspot Multnomah Whiskey Library (15-minute drive), where you can have a cocktail crafted with one of the lounge’s 1800+ varieties of spirits (with a heavy focus on the whiskey, of course).
