Getting Around

Park Lane Suites & Inn offers free parking, but truth is, you don’t really need a car in this part of Portland. The Nob Hill neighborhood is extremely walkable and there’s easy access to public transportation (there are multiple MAX stations just a few blocks away from the hotel).

If you want to splurge on a meal during your trip, check out RingSide Steakhouse (2-minute walk), a classic steakhouse that feels more old Hollywood than new Portland (the servers wear tuxedos) but serves up some of the best steaks in town. For dessert, head to Papa Haydn (11-minute walk), a charming spot in the Nob Hill area with an impressive dessert menu of classics (like Carrot Cake) and seasonal specialties (like the Hood River Crisp, made with apples straight from Hood River).

If you’re in the mood for a beer, try The Civic Taproom and Bottle Shop (7-minute walk), a sports bar with 20 rotating beers on tap and a huge selection of bottled brews (for an extra lively experience, be sure to stop by during a Timbers or Trail Blazers game). If you’re craving something a little stronger, head over to Pope House Bourbon Lounge (7-minute walk), where you can enjoy a stiff bourbon cocktail on their outdoor patio (make sure to stop by between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. for some killer happy hour specials).

Park Lane Suites & Inn is nothing fancy, but it’s affordable, comfortable, and has a great location, which, if you’re on a budget, is really all you need.
