Air Travel

Eastern Oregon Regional Airport at Pendleton is not serviced by any major airline, but San Francisco–based airline, Boutique Air, runs flights between Pendleton and Portland. There’s a Hertz car-rental agency on-site. Across the Washington border, Tri-Cities Airport is just 35 miles from Hermiston and 70 miles from Pendleton and has service on Allegiant, Delta, Alaska/Horizon, and United Express from several major cities in the West. If visiting Baker City or other communities in the eastern edge of the region, your best bet is flying into Boise, which is about a two-hour drive from Baker City. To reach the John Day region, it’s easiest to fly into Bend, which is 2½ to 3 hours away.
