Fodor's Expert Review Brevard Music Festival
Some 400 talented young music students from nearly every U.S. state and 60 faculty from around the world spend summers at the 180-acre Brevard Music Center. Each year, from mid-June to early August, the center hosts about 80 public orchestral and chamber music concerts and operas featuring guest performers such as violinist Itzhak Perlman and pianist Garrick Ohlsson. Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart is the festival's artistic director.
