Fodor's Expert Review Red House Inn

266 W. Probart St., Brevard, North Carolina, 28712, USA

One of the oldest houses in Brevard, the Red House Inn was built in 1851 as a trading post and later served as a courthouse, tavern, post office, and school. Now it's a pleasant B&B four blocks from the center of town. There are five rooms in the main house and an adjoining efficiency cottage. The owners also rent out several houses nearby by the night.
