Tall pines stand sentinel at this lovely lodging, creating a private haven a short walk from the center of Woodstock. After splashing in the swimming hole you can stroll along the stream or relax on the landscaped lawn. The most basic rooms are in a motel-style complex dating from the 1940s. Hanging flower planters adorn front porches, handsome antiques add country charm, and quilts cover beds. Other rooms have fireplaces, galley kitchens, and hardwood floors. For more privacy, there are two stand-alone cottages with lots of windows and private outdoor seating areas. The continental breakfast spread is bountiful, and has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans.
