Fodor's Expert Review White Horse Tavern

West Village Bars/Pubs

According to New York legend, writer Dylan Thomas drank himself to death in this historic West Village tavern founded in 1880. When the weather's nice, try to snag a seat at one of the sidewalk tables for breezy people-watching, and do enjoy the bar's reasonable prices—just don't overdo it like Thomas.
