Fodor's Expert Review Blue Canoe Oyster Bar and Grill

This is a great find in Greenport: a waterfront location with outdoor bar and covered pavilion; a local, casual vibe; modern dishes on the menu; and cool tunes, with live music on weekends. Offerings include sushi and small plates as well as burgers and smoky barbecue, and, of course, oysters. The chicken yakitori with fresh shiitake mushrooms is delicious, and the salads taste bright and fresh. The service is friendly, if inconsistent, and it is a bit pricey, but if you can live with that, it's worth a visit.
