Miniature Golf

Puff and Putt Family Fun Center. Since 1977 the Cucci family has been helping locals and visitors have good, clean fun here, on a narrow strip of land between Montauk Highway (across from the IGA supermarket) and sparkling Fort Pond. This complex encompasses a miniature-golf course and video-game room. The waters of Fort Pond, 1½ miles long, are usually quite calm, making it a perfect place to try stand-up paddleboarding, and boards are also rented here. It can get quite busy here on weekends, so expect a wait for mini-golf. Credit cards are not accepted, and an ATM is available on-site. 659 Montauk Hwy., Montauk, New York, 11954. 631/668–4473; www.puffnputt.com. Miniature golf $7.50, boat rentals $22–$45; paddleboard rentals $22 for half-hr, $40 for 1 hr. July and Aug., Mon.–Sat. 9 am–11 pm, Sun. 10 am–11 pm; Sept.–June, weekends (hrs vary; call for details).
