Rentals and Rental Agencies
In addition to the usual array of inns and hotels here, Santa Fe has a wide range of long- and short-term vacation rentals. Rates generally range from $150 to $300 per night for double-occupancy units, with better values at some of the two- to four-bedroom properties. Many have fully stocked kitchens. Another route is to rent a furnished condo or casita at one of several compounds geared to travelers seeking longer stays. Here are some top vacation-rental options in town.
Campanilla Compound. A luxurious, secluded, yet centrally located tract of about 15 spacious one- and-two-bedroom vacation rentals on a hill just north of Downtown. Kitchens are especially impressive in these units, which also have kiva-style fireplaces, patios with gas grills, washers and dryers, and plenty of off-street parking. Rates run from about $1,700 to $2,400 per week in summer (and about one-third less the rest of the year). 334 Otero St., North Side, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87501. 505/988–7585; www.campanillacompound.com. 15 units. Fort Marcy Suites. On a bluff just a 10-minute walk northeast of the Plaza with great views, this large, older compound comprises individually furnished units that accommodate two to six guests and come with full kitchens, wood fireplaces, DVDs, and CD stereos. They're a good value for families and groups, and although these units aren't especially fancy, the management continues to upgrade decor and amenities. 321 Kearney Ave., North Side, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87501. 888/570–2775; www.allseasonsresortlodging.com. 100 units. Kokopelli Property Management. A large, well-established agency, Kokopelli represents more than 70 vacation rentals in town, including everything from cozy two-bedroom casitas that rent for as low as $140 per day to ultra-posh mountain compounds that will set you back $850 per day during the busy months.
