Fodor's Expert Review Mu Du Noodle

This warm and cozy eatery on a busy stretch of Cerrillos Road excels both in its friendly and helpful staff and its interesting pan-Asian fare. Dinner specials are always good, though if you're fond of spice be sure to ask for "hot" as their food tends to be mild. Sample the martabak, Indonesian dumplings filled with minced lamb, scallions, garlic, and spices and served with a mint-cilantro dipping sauce; fragrant lemongrass soup with house-made fish balls, shrimp, and fried shallots; and Singapore-style rice vermicelli noodles with barbecue pork or tofu and a mild yellow curry. Mu, the proprietor, is a strong advocate of cooking with local, organic ingredients.
