Best Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe

3650 Cerrillos Rd., Santa Fe, New Mexico 87507, USA

A great all-around budget option, this spotlessly clean and well-kept 97-room adobe-style is along busy and unattractive Cerrillos Road, but it's worth overlooking the drab location given the warmly furnished and attractively priced rooms and plenty of appealing amenities, from an indoor pool to a guest laundry and exercise.

Unusual for Santa Fe, the Best Western not only allows pets but doesn't charge an additional fee for them either.

Comanche suite boasts plenty of room with comfortable king bed, closet butler, and real wood burning kiva fireplace! Livingroom, 50" flat screen wall mounted tv, small full kitchen not shown.

room

Southwestern-style furniture and colorful Native American–pattern throw pillows and blankets give these otherwise standard chain rooms a splash of color and personality. All have well-designed work desks, refrigerators, and microwaves, and a number of rooms have balconies. Several spa-Jacuzzi suites have deep jetted tubs and wet bars.

Though standard-size, the bathrooms are above average in this price range, with attractive granite counters and tile floors. The suites are a step up with walk-in tiled glass showers and hand-painted Mexican-tile sinks.

LOCATION

Getting Around

Set on the city's far south side on heavily trafficked Cerrillos Road, the Best Western has ample and free parking, which you'll need, as a car is the best option both for reaching this hotel and exploring Santa Fe. There are a number of mostly chain restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance, but few attractions.

Restaurants

An off-shoot of the legendary restaurant Downtown, the spacious Plaza Cafe Southside (4-minute drive) specializes in hearty and delicious Southwestern and American fare, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The blue-corn pinon pancakes are a specialty in the morning. Don't let the modest setting behind a gas station fool you: Horseman's Haven Cafe (5-minute drive) is one of the top spots in Santa Fe for flavorful (sometimes spicy) and authentic northern New Mexican fare, including green-chile cheeseburgers, breakfast burritos, and carne adovada enchiladas.

Bars

Duel Brewing (5-minute drive) is well-regarded for its farmhouse-style Belgian-craft beers; it's right down the street from Meow Wolf, where it also serves beer in the museum's bar. Home to one of Santa Fe's best happy hours, the stylishly contemporary Ranch House (5-minute drive) serves up tender slow-smoked barbecue, juicy steaks, and hefty burgers.

WHY WE LIKE IT

In terms of cleanliness and friendliness, this Best Western Plus is a top representative of this large, international chain. The owners have invested significantly in rooms with upgraded furnishings, and the amenities are generous.
