About the Restaurants

Las Vegas is the one town in these parts with an especially notable restaurant scene, ranging from some outstanding old-school New Mexican eateries to a few spots serving more creative, higher-end fare. Otherwise, beyond the many fast-food restaurants in Las Vegas and Raton, you'll find just a handful of mostly basic and very casual eateries in the region's other towns. Reservations aren't needed around here, but many restaurants do keep limited hours or close early during slow times—it's a very good idea to call ahead.
