The Atlantic Club, on the south end of the casino district, is staid and sane as casinos go. In a former life, it was the Hilton. In its new incarnation, it has defined itself as the choice for budget-minded travelers and local gamblers on day trips. Table minimums are low, penny slots get a good workout, and promotions like complimentary buffets are trumpeted in the same way flashier places hoot about their VIP rooms. Entertainment options are limited and restaurants are basic, but that's not the point of coming here.
