Fodor's Review

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

This steak restaurant and lounge with live entertainment on weekends livens up Monte Carlo's slightly staid image. The brand succeeds on a winning combination of playful cocktails, hipster aesthetic, and a skillfully balanced menu of classic cuisine. Ask your server for bread; it's complimentary upon request. The interactive Hot Rocks is a fun starter: thin slices of seasoned sirloin are brought table-side, along with an 800-degree volcanic rock on which to cook them. Mains might range from pappardelle carbonara, to a whole roasted Maine lobster to the porterhouse steak, which ranges from 40 ounces of beef for two to 120 ounces for six. Complete your meal with New York–style cheesecake with a blackberry-bourbon compote.
