The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is a literal castle suited for budget-friendly kings and queens who don’t mind simple accommodations.
YOU SHOULD KNOW Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in most public spaces, including the pool, casino, lobby and restaurants. Upgrades are available for those who need higher bandwidth.
About half of the rooms received remodels in 2016. They are small – let’s call them cozy – but painted accent walls and bright colors keep them feeling airy.
No frills and can be dated in some rooms, but they are clean and effective.
The lobby doesn't totally commit to the castle theme, which is a good thing. Instead it opts for a more modern feel.
Four heated pools are available for guests – one is dedicated to adults (18+). The pool area also features two waterfalls, two waterslides and two whirlpool spas.
If you want to stay on theme, Camelot Steakhouse offers steaks and seafood served in a castle chamber. For a rowdy time, Dick’s Las Vegas features intentionally sassy servers and finger foods.
Several bars are located throughout the resort, including Octane (adjacent to Thunder From Down Under) and The Lounge (on the casino floor).
The Excalibur is connected via tram and interior walkways to its neighbors and sister properties, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Taxis, shuttles and ride-share services are abundant for further trips.
Check nearby Strip resorts for more dining options. Closest resort with good options: MGM Grand.
Options abound. Pick a resort that sounds interesting and check it out. It will have liquor inside!
