Fodor's Expert Review Whitefish Lake Restaurant
In the historic clubhouse on the municipal golf course, dine on locals' favorites such as hand-cut steaks and prime rib, or fresh fish dishes such as halibut steak wrapped in herbs and phyllo dough, baked and served with your choice of rice, garlic mashed potatoes, or the unique horseradish potato pancakes. The Napoléon, made with eggplant, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, and provolone, and topped with a spicy tomato sauce, makes a delicious vegetarian entrée. You can also get a burger at the bar, but always save room for dessert: coffee–ice cream mud pie with Oreo cookie–crumb crust and fudge or the owner's homemade peppermint ice cream.
