Fodor's Expert Review Caffe Dolce

Located in the heart of an historic neighborhood (in the space formerly occupied by Red Bird), Cafe Dolce serves up well-crafted Italian dishes in an airy dining room painted with frescoes. The menu changes with the seasons because the focus is on fresh, local ingredients, including homemade horseradish and morel mushrooms from the surrounding mountains. The short-rib ragu is outstanding, as are the pizzas and the lamb burger. The beer and wine selection is one of the best in town. A limited menu is served for lunch at lower prices.
