On the town common of downtown Amherst, this rambling 1926 inn owned by Amherst College is a favorite among visiting parents and professors for its variety of rooms, from smallish doubles to larger suites. Following extensive renovations, the inn reopened in 2012, its antique furniture replaced with more modern furnishings, and pleasantly large common spaces both indoors and out.
