This family-friendly property is a popular and reasonably priced vacation spot, with a variety of room types ranging from doubles to two-room suites to efficiencies to cottages to a house. Set back from the main road and surrounded by 5 acres of trees and lawns, its perks include direct access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and a 60-foot indoor pool. Wellfleet's beaches are also close by. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic.

Visitors need a parking sticker for town-owned and operated beaches from the third weekend in June through Labor Day, but instead of waiting in a long line to get one, you can conveniently purchase one from the hotel. More beach time!

Décor throughout is simple and modern. The eight cottages and the 4-bedroom house on the grounds are generally available for stays of a week or longer. There is also one offsite housekeeping cottage by the beach, called Ebbtide, which is located at LeCount Hollow beach in South Wellfleet.

YOU SHOULD KNOW Six of the cottages and the house are rented as housekeeping units (no linens or maid service provided).

All accommodations have private bathrooms. Some have bathtubs and showers, while others offer showers only.

There are a few chairs in the lobby where guests can peruse the paper or check out brochures to local attractions. It’s not really a hang-out spot. Guests congregate more at the many outdoor spaces.

There is a 60-foot heated indoor pool with an outdoor sundeck.

There is a work-out area with a multi-station weight machine and a stationary bike.

Getting Around

Accessing the beach and the Cape Cod Rail Trail on foot or on bike is do-able, as are a few restaurants, but to enjoy the whole area, you;ll need a car.

PB Boulangie Bistro (2-minute drive) is an excellent place to enjoy French food for dinner and pick up some delicious pastries from the bakery for breakfast. A Wellfleet favorite, Moby Dick’s (8-minute drive) serves up classic Cape Cod seafood dishes. It has a BYOB policy.

Head to CShore Kitchen + Bar (7-minute walk) and enjoy drinks beside the outdoor fire pit. The Wicked Oyster (7-minute drive) offers a large martini menu, as well as fun specialty drinks and beers.

The feel of Even’tide is like a summer camp for the whole family. The large accommodations, many with kitchens, encourages guests to cook meals in, and as a result the grounds are active and lively. There is plenty to keep everyone busy, with the pool, a basketball court, mini-golf, a horseshoe pit, badminton, a shuffleboard court and a ping pong table all on the grounds. When the ocean beckons, though, beaches are quite close by.
