Don't be fooled by this self-named "sandwich shop," which belies the care, creativity, and culinary quality of the luscious offerings found in this diminutive establishment featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The owners' cooking school experience and recipe development work in a magazine test kitchen helps explain why their offerings will blow your socks off—whether it's a brioche breakfast sandwich stuffed with egg, homemade chorizo, mozzarella, and cilantro or the succulent roast beef and roasted shallot sandwich with cheddar and Thousand Island dressing. Most ingredients come from local farms and purveyors and the excellent potato chips, salads, pickles, sauces, and sweets are all made from scratch, as is the delicious tangy limeade offered year-round.
