Fodor's Review

Folks from all over flock to this inviting, votive-lit neighborhood bistro near Cambridge's Inman Square to savor co-owner chef Keith Pooler's magical ways with seasonal New England ingredients. Depending upon the day, masterpieces might include country pâté with pickled mushrooms, local halibut crudo with yuzu mayo, and a juicy roast chicken with Italian sausage, escarole, and grits. In addition to a well-curated wine list, the classic and modern cocktails are terrific, the service warm and friendly, and the desserts well worth indulging in, whether it's satiny panna cotta with hazelnut streusel or chocolate soufflé torte with olive oil ice cream. The nightly three-course prix-fixe blackboard menu offers excellent value ($44).
