Fodor's Review

Don't let the no-frills decor fool you: what this place lacks in style it more than makes up for in inventive flavors, especially at dinner. Start with an appetizer of beef heart or ceviche before moving on to the pile of fried seafood known as jalea, or the delectable mishmash that is lomo saltado (Angus beef, onions, tomatoes, and french fries, all sautéed together)—though not much to look at, the latter entrée is satisfyingly rich. For dessert, two can easily share the generous caramel custard. If you're up for something new, order a pitcher of chicha morada, a purple corn drink that defies description.
