Fodor's Expert Review Old Christ Church
In the 17th century Kent Island was the site of the earliest Anglican settlement in the colony. Built in 1880, the Old Christ Church served as the sanctuary for Maryland's Anglican church. The current congregation moved to another site in 1995, but the church is still used for religious purposes. The curious Queen Anne structure is mostly wood, but bricks from a church that stood on nearby Broad Creek in 1652 form the chimney, and its peaks and eaves make it seem medieval.
