Fodor's Expert Review Out of the Fire
A spare, modern interior sets this neighborhood bistro apart from its Colonial neighbors. Of note is the owner's insistence that all equipment and furnishings—including a trompe l'oeil mural, faux-finish walls, and pottery—be obtained locally. Among the entrées, arctic char with Yukon gold potatoes in a thai green curry sauce and Berkshire Porkchop with rapini-oyster and mushroom-barley risotto. Breads are baked in a stone-hearth oven; desserts are produced on-site. Enjoy one of more than 100 labels at the wine bar or in the overstuffed seating off to one side of the open kitchen.
