On a quiet block steps away from Armstrong Park, a network of small cottages share a large open courtyard and a beautiful garden. Within walking distance to the Quarter and a block off of the new St. Claude streetcar line, you get both luxury and convenience at this serene stay.

YOU SHOULD KNOW Take caution when traveling Rampart Street at night.

Choose from private suites or full cottages, each one named for a favorite hometown musician. All rooms have refinished hardwood floors, choice antique pieces, and French doors opening up onto the lush courtyard.

Bathrooms and showers are quite large, with unique touches like exposed brick and chandeliers.

The outdoors space and wide courtyard serve as the main public hangout space here.

The innkeepers put a personal touch on your experience here: don't be afraid to ask for recommendations or reservations during your stay.

Breakfast is no longer provided, but the friendly innkeepers are happy to make recommendations on where to dine.

Guests can enjoy coffee in their rooms, and there are in-room refrigerators if you want to stash beer or wine to enjoy in the courtyard.

Getting Around

The new St. Claude streetcar runs from Rampart street (in front of the hotel) to St. Claude Street in the Bywater, and to Canal Street (where it connects with several other streetcar lines) in the other direction. The French Quarter, CBD, and Marigny are walking distance from here, and Rampart Street is an easy place to catch cabs. There is a small parking lot for guests' use.

Enjoy gourmet coffee and creative kitchen pop-ups across Rampart Street at Arrow Cafe (6-minute walk), or a decadent brunch at Meauxbar (1-minute walk). Eat New Orleans (5-minute walk) serves New Orleans flavors with a farm-to-table twist.

Cosimo's (6-minute walk) is a local favorite for dive bar atmosphere and cheap beer. Bar Tonique (3-minute walk) has an excellent happy hour specials on craft cocktails and a romantic atmosphere, across from Armstrong Park. Black Penny (6-minute walk) is great from daytime until dawn, with a wide beer selection and the occasional food pop-up.

Accommodations and outdoor space are gorgeous here, and we like that you can enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of this area while still being close to some of the city's main attractions.
