Chef Bill Kim affectionately refers to Belly Shack as his "love story," because the menu fuses his Korean roots and his wife's Puerto Rican background. Not to be missed are the Belly Dog topped with egg noodles, pickled green papaya, togarashi-spiced fries, and the Boricua, a jibarito (fried plantain sandwich) with marinated tofu, hoisin sauce, and brown rice. The space is tight at this casual-yet-hip BYOB, so it's best to show up early to avoid a wait.
