Fodor's Expert Review Hideout
Waikiki
Bars/Pubs
The Hideout is a mini-oasis on the outdoor lobby level of the Laylow Hotel, one of Waikiki’s newer hotels. Technically, it’s not a rooftop bar, but with a fire pit (surrounded by sand), tiki torches, comfy couches, and palm trees swaying overhead, it certainly exudes rooftop vibes. The Hideout has a full menu, but it’s best to come here for some pre- or postdinner drinks and pupu. And with a daily happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, it’s easier on your wallet, too. Get the Lime in the Coconut, made with Old Lahaina rum, lime, coconut, and mango boba at the bottom of the martini glass.
