A local favorite since the doors opened over a decade ago, this award-winning American brasserie from chef-owner Kevin Hanney keeps surprising loyalists with an expanding menu and lively bar scene.The longtime favorite grilled pork chop is joined on the menu by shwarma-spiced Niihau lamb shanks with house-made yogurt, pan-roasted U-10 Hokkaido scallops with Kaffir-Kahuku corn puree, and beautifully prepared soups, salads, and small plates. The specials are always excellent, and the passion-fruit mochi cake with vanilla-ginger syrup is one of the best desserts in town. The handcrafted cocktails here are especially inventive, and they pair well with a variety of appetizers when you can't decide what to try. Sharing is a smart decision here, since you'll have a hard time selecting just one item.
