Fodor's Review

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

The homes chronicle the life of John Palmer Parker (and his descendants), who founded Parker Ranch in 1847. Parker married the granddaughter of King Kamehameha and bought two acres of land from the king for the sum of $10. The original family residence, Mana Hale, is built entirely from native woods such as koa. Puuopelu, added to the estate in 1879, was the residence of Richard Smart, a sixth-generation Parker who expanded the house to make room for his European art collection. Also available are horseback rides, ATV rides, and guided hunting or van tours.
