Fodor's Review

The name means "forever beautiful" in Hawaiian, and that's a good description of this 2-acre botanical garden filled with several varieties of fruit trees, rare palms, and hundreds of varieties of ginger, orchids, anthuriums, and other exotic plants. It was originally planted by a Japanese immigrant. Take a stroll and stay for lunch. (Some locals like to visit the garden just for the affordable lunch.) The restaurant offers a daily buffet lunch plus garden admission package, with discounts for seniors and kids.
