Fodor's Expert Review Big Island Grill
This local-style Hawaiian restaurant looks like an old coffee shop—it's large and nondescript inside, with booths, basic tables, and bingo-hall chairs. Local families love it for the huge portions of pork chops, loco moco (local-style dish with meat, rice, and eggs smothered in gravy), and an assortment of fish specialties at very reasonable prices. "Biggie's" also serves a decent breakfast (the only meal it serves on Sunday). The prices and portions make this a good place to take large groups or families, if you want to feel like a real kamaaina (local), that is.
