A near-perfect spot for couples seeking a romantic getaway in Volcano Village, this historical 1912 two-bedroom cottage evokes a vintage country feeling in keeping with the summer homes of the era. The claw-foot bathtub, hot tub, and fireplace add to the general coziness. Continental breakfast is included, and the restaurants of Volcano Village are nearby.

Restaurants
The Rim (7 minute drive), inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, offers an incredible view of the volcano glow. Try to get to dinner right before sunset, with plenty of time to see it in the dark – and be sure to make a reservation. If you’re a fan of fish, the local catch specials are almost always impeccably cooked and sauced. Kilauea Lodge Restaurant (3 minute drive) is a great choice for a higher end, full course meal. The cocktails and wine menu have a little something for everyone, and their European-inspired fare will have you ready for a relaxing evening.
WHY WE LIKE IT
The cottage is very charming, and the grounds are beautifully manicured, but also engulfed in rainforest beauty that allows for long, lingering walks and a nice place to sip afternoon tea.
