Location, once again, wins our hearts, combined with lots of on-property activities, a great pool complex, views of Disney Springs and Disney fireworks, and roomy, deluxe or value accommodations.
Fodor's Expert Review
Any hotel within a skip and a hop of Disney Springs is a sure draw, and one with a water-playground complex that can entice kids away from the Magic Kingdom during the midday heat is even better. The property split into two separate Wyndham hotels in 2017, with the 19-story tower catering to the high-end market, and the Wyndham Garden catering to families and travelers looking for value. Both properties share amenities such as pool complex, dining, character breakfasts and more. Rooms in the 19-story tower have deluxe duvet bedding, flat-screen TV, upgraded bathroom, safes, and refrigerators. Views of Disney Springs, Epcot and Magic Kingdom fireworks can be seen from some rooms in the tower. Rooms on the other side can see the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and Universal in the distance. Kids' programs, including character breakfasts, and a separate kids' recreation area make it a good choice for families. Several on-site eateries make dining easy, and guests have access to Disney golf courses and transportation to all the Disney parks.

Room
With decor reminiscent of a beach house, where reflections of the sea and sand dominate, the tower rooms (renovated in 2015) offer two queen beds with crisp, white duvet-style linens, or a king and a sleeper sofa, pale wood furniture, including a dresser with storage, a flat screen TV, fridge, coffee-maker with fixings, desk and work-station chair. The tower rooms facing Disney feature particularly engaging views including the hot air balloon and erupting volcano at Disney Springs and fireworks; the ones facing east offer up the glittering lights of Universal, I-Drive and the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye in the distance. Rooms in the five-story Wyndham Garden have two double beds or a king with bedspreads, coffee maker with fixings, and basic furniture.
Bathroom
The shower/tub and WC are separated from the vanity area, which has one sink, but plenty of room for toiletries.
Lobby
Polished wood floors, white painted columns, and comfortable seating areas welcome guests to this spacious lobby which serves both the Wyndham properties. The reception area has ample check-in stations, and there is a bar, a cafe, and a sundries shop in the lobby.
Pool
The 189,000 gallon heated Oasis Aquatic Pool features a rock waterfall, a large sun deck with ample lounges and cabanas, a hot tub and a smaller pool. Kids enjoy the pool playground with its shallow entry, fountains and water buckets that empty out on a regular basis.
Tip Sunscreen and other bathing supplies are available for sale at a poolside shop that also rents floaty noodles and inflatable toys.
Gym
The fitness center, right off the main lobby, offers equipment for cardio and weight training: treadmills, an exercise bike, elliptical machines, free weights. You won't miss a single moment of news or sports as the fitness center also has two flat screen TVs. If you prefer to take your exercise outdoors, the resort has tennis courts, volleyball
Dining
You can relax in the well-named Lakeview Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the whole family can enjoy a Disney Character Breakfast buffet three mornings a week, featuring Goofy and Pluto. For poolside dining, The Oasis Bar & Grill serves small plates and drinks beside the pool. You can catch up on games on the large TVs at the Eclipse Bar in the lobby, where a bar menu joins beer, wine and cocktails. The Sundial Cafe in the lobby is open 24 hours a day, and offers self-serve items to go.
Drinking
Guests have two choices for drinks: Poolside cocktails at the Oasis Bar & Grill, and sports on screen at the Eclipse Bar.

Getting Around
Disney Springs is an easy stroll over a pedestrian bridge, and the Disney transportation system will take you to any of the on-property parks. If you prefer the freedom of your own wheels, keep in mind the stiff parking fee at the resort, along with the daily parking fee at the parks. Another option is a ride-share service or a taxi, both readily available. If Universal, SeaWorld or downtown Orlando is on your itinerary, a car would be the practical solution.
Restaurants
A covered pedestrian overpass gives easy and safe access to the vast shopping and dining area of Disney Springs (5-minute walk) where about 50 restaurants offer a wide array of food, including the three-story PaddleFish, where seafood is king and the outdoor rooftop terrace offers striking views of the lagoon and the entertainment at the Springs; the family friendly T-Rex, whose organic decor of overhead jellyfish and sea-life is fascinating; Raglan Road, an authentic Irish Pub with refined Irish fare and lots of music and dancing; Morimoto’s Asia, an Asian Fusion eatery owned by, and often visited by, famed Japanese chef, Morimoto; and Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant, showcasing local, Southern food. For those who fancy a Mexican experience, James Beard Foundation Award-winning Chef Rick Bayless’ has opened Frontera Cocina. Further afield is House of Blues, where barbecue and beer reign.
Bars
Disney Springs (5-minute walk) offers dozens of places to lift a glass. The rooftop bar at Morimoto's Asia offers high-end sake; Raglan Road's Irish pub pours a mean Guinness; wine connoisseurs can head to Wine Bar George, where a master sommelier dispenses a wide range of domestic and imported wines; and House of Blues is the spot for beer.
