Fodor's Expert Review Ragtime Tavern Seafood & Grill

A New Orleans theme prevails at this lively venue, a longtime favorite with locals and visitors alike. The crowd ranges in age from 21 to midlife-crisis, and they come both to sample the craft beer and eat the seafood-based fare. Ragtime shrimp (deep-fried fresh shrimp rolled in coconut) and popular Southern fare like shrimp and grits are specialties (as are microbrews made on the premises), or try a po'boy sandwich or fish sizzled on the grill. Brunch is served Sunday only.
