Not to be confused with the budget-oriented Bentley Hotel down the street, the Hilton Bentley Miami is a contemporary, design-driven, and artsy boutique hotel in the emerging and trendy SoFi (South of Fifth) district, offering families just the right mix of South Beach flavor and wholesome fun while still providing couples a romantic base without any party madness. Occupying two 10-story buildings with a prime beachfront location, rooms and suites range from snug to colossal, each adorned with a perfect mix of art deco redux and modern bling. It happens to be one of the area's few kid-friendly boutique hotels, and, as such, for the little ones there are child-size beach chairs and umbrellas as well as a bunch of other kids' amenities on request.
Rooms here are called "studios" and feature Italian marble flooring, kitchenettes, and pillow-top King mattresses. A balcony faces either the ocean or the Miami Beach and Miami skylines. Other amenities include a coffee maker, mini-bar, and Wi-Fi. Electronic locks, an in-room safe, and double locking doors keep you feeling secure.
Pets are welcome with a $50 deposit.
Marble bathrooms feature anti-scalding showers and luxury bath products.
A small, yet functional, lobby means easy check-in and out. A few seating areas are perfect for waiting for friends.
The pool deck features bright red lounges that overflow to a garden sunning area where you can hear the crash of the waves at the beach just beyond the greenery.
Spa 101 offers massages, facials, and a range of services. After your appointment, stay on at the Spa 101 sundeck or take a dip in the whirlpool.
A fitness room provides cardio and strength training equipment for guests.
Santorini by Georgios offers Greek and Mediterranean dishes.
Most South Beach restaurants and shops are an easy walk from the hotel. A Miami Beach trolley takes you around Miami Beach seven days a week for free.
Prime 112 (across the street) offers prime steaks in a clubby setting. It's a frequent celebrity hangout and a favorite with Miami Heat players. Joe's Stone Crab (5-minute walk) is Miami Beach's most iconic restaurant for over a century. Try the stone crabs (seasonal).
South Pointe Tavern (5-minute walk) offers whiskey-based cocktails in a public, neighborhood setting. Cibo Wine Bar (5-minute walk) serves wine by the glass and bottle, along with shared plates in a modern setting.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Located in SoFi, South Beach's quiet, reserved area, it's perfect for a relaxing beach vacation that's walking distance from the excitement of Ocean Drive.
