Fodor's Review

Four different ecosystems in the "River of Grass" are preserved by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and these daily tours by airboat or swamp buggy can introduce you to the elusive wildlife that resides in each area. Sightings of deer, turtles, raccoons, wild hogs, hawks, eagles, and alligators are likely but certainly not guaranteed. Animal exhibits, a petting zoo, and snake/critter shows provide a solid contingency plan. For the rugged adventurer, overnight camping in a native-style chickee (thatched-roof dwelling) is available. If a sleepover is too much, Twilight Expeditions offer a campfire with storytelling followed by a nighttime tour. Head to the Swamp Water Café to try Native American dishes like Indian fry bread with honey, Indian tacos, and bison burgers. Check the website for showtimes and tour schedules.
