Built in 1923 to cater to the film industry, the Dow Villa Motel and the historic Dow Hotel sit in the center of Lone Pine. Both buildings are within walking distance of just about everything in town. The motel has modern amenities while the hotel has an Old West feel, with antique furniture and pictures of John Wayne (who stayed here) and Mt. Whitney.
