Bridgehouse Bed & Breakfast

1455 Riverside Dr., Redding, California, 96001, USA

In a residential area a block from the Sacramento River and a half-mile from downtown Redding, this inn contains six rooms in two side-by-side homes. Two rooms, one fairly spacious and with a good-sized tile shower, are in the original Bridgehouse building, though most guests prefer staying in Casa Puente ("bridge house" in Spanish), whose rooms have a California-Mediterranean decor. The two nicest Casa Puente rooms, named California Street and Riverside Drive, share a patio. In good weather the landscaped courtyard between the two homes is a serene spot to sip tea or a glass of wine and unwind from a day's touring. The easy hospitality, full breakfasts that include the innkeeper's freshly baked scones, and proximity to downtown and Turtle Bay Park, Sundial Bridge, and the Sacramento River Trail have earned this inn much repeat business.
