Fodor's Review

Farm-to-table at this cottage-comfy Mission Hills restaurant starts at owners Trish and Tom Watlington’s extensive home garden that supplies half the needed produce and herbs. Local organic growers and ranchers add everything else showcased on the constantly changing menu. Ingredients are expertly cooked and creatively spun into dishes like flatbread with carrot top pesto, grass-fed burgers with lemon aioli, and a pot pie stuffed with locally caught ground opah. Save room for desserts like seasonal fruit cobbler and a velvety goat cheese cake. Their next door lounge, Bar by Red Door, adheres to the same farm-to-table ethos though its focus is on cocktails and small plates.
