Fodor's Review

One of San Diego’s most popular sushi restaurants is set in a sea of touristy Mexican dining spots in the heart of Old Town. Fans young and old flock here for refreshing sangrias, sustainable California-style sushi and modern Asian cuisine served up in a soft-lighted room rocked with DJ-driven R&B and ’80s music. For a bit more tranquil and intimate experience, settle into the outdoor patio seating to sample inventive sushi rolls like the Bomb, James Bomb—tempura, cream cheese, spicy scallop, and spicy mayo. Festivities are enhanced by craft cocktails and good selections of sake and local artisan beers. Find ample free parking within walking distance at the Old Town Transportation Center off Pacific Highway.
