Residents of Mission Hills have made this friendly restaurant their neighborhood dining pick, but so have transplanted and visiting Brooklynites who flock here for a hometown fix. Owner and native Brooklyn girl, Victoria McGeath, and her husband Michael welcome customers like old friends to the bright high-ceiling room with its trove of Brooklyn memorabilia like subway signs and vintage public school chairs. The menu is Brooklyn-inspired, too, in that it ranges across that borough’s many ethnic neighborhoods. Try crispy shrimp tacos, Vietnamese meatballs, Thai-flavored mussels, or wood-oven baked pizzas. Or opt for oysters or crab from the seafood bar. Many wines-by-the-glass and cocktails are priced at $13 or less.
