Reasonably well run if steadfastly nondescript, this two-story motel built in the late 1990s has three things going for it: a convenient location on the edge of downtown, a pool for hot Gold Country days, and bargain rates most of the year. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, microwaves, and small refrigerators. The walls are paper thin, and rooms nearest the highway pick up car noise, so ask for the quietest accommodations available.
