Ferry

There are two ferries that service Catalina Island; Catalina Express runs multiple departures daily from San Pedro, Long Beach, and Dana Point. From each port, it takes about 90 minutes to reach the island. The Catalina Flyer runs from Newport Beach to Avalon in about 75 minutes. Reservations are strongly advised for summer months and weekends. During the winter months, ferry crossings are not as frequent.
